2001 Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic
For Sale: 2nd Owner, 20K miles 01 V-Star 650. Black and Chrome. 50% baffles, oil change, and full tune up last year. Tires and tubes 2 years ago (less than 2K miles). Had to change rear coupler last year, serviced rear diff at same time (shaft driven). Wife has owned it since 02, bought from a co-worker that bought it brand new. No windscreen, bags, etc. Exhaust sounds GREAT, most people think it's well over a 650.
The bad: Back seat is gone, have hardware to do a seat or rack. 5th gear whines, always has, probably always will, doesn't affect drive-ability. Has a few scratches and dings, it is 10 years old.
Asking $2,000, open to offers. Prefer cash, but MAY consider trading for vehicles, big-boy toys, etc.
We live downtown if someone wants to ride it. Under 21 MUST have parent with you, cash in hand, or endorsement on license to ride.
Email, PM, or post. Stallion08@ymail.com more pics on request.
Thanks!

Hmm, that looks like Westport. I used to live there.

Yeah, unfortunately. Part of the reason for selling the bike, finish padding the bank account to get a house. We're working on it. Really need to sell this thing. $1,800 now !!!!!!!!!![i][u]

Re: 2001 Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic
Just FYI, I moved from Westport in 2000 because (1) my apartment was broken into. So I changed apartments and then (2) my car (1990 Pontiac Bonneville) was stolen and stripped out of that parking lot. Granted I lived on the south side, closest to the section 8 housing. And get this: I got a 1998 Mustang V6 with the insurance money, and a week later someone had kicked a dent in the lower drivers door. AARRRGHH! I got out of my lease and moved two weeks later.
On a lighter note, my brother and his wife lived there for several years, as did my wife (all north side), and they didn't have any issues.
Good luck with the sale!

Re: 2001 Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic
Yeah my wife lived here for 2 years before we got married, and we've been here a year together, never had a single issue. That's crazy. Were also closer to the section 8 pads but seems to be quiet. We didn't buy a house right away because we were unsure of our jobs (both prison employees in different towns) but since everything is kinda set now were looking at the Glenpool area to split our drive. Should be shopping this month. :-)
