Upgrading the fuel system
I am looking to upgrade my fuel system to feed the 3.6 LC kenne bell that will sit on top of my motor. After looking over the internet it seems that the boost a pump limits out at 800 hp. If I want to go further do I need a return system? If so do I need 2 or 3 pumps? What injector size?
If there were only a search engine that could help me out with this.

Most of the kits Ive seen that say up to 1300hp show dual boost-a-pumps and 80lb injectors.

I am definitely not the expert, but it seems that even Kenne Bell lists the kit coming with (dual boost-a-pumps), I would imagine that would be efficient. I would talk to whoever is tuning your car about what they think would be or should be recommended.

I am definitely not the expert, but it seems that even Kenne Bell lists the kit coming with (dual boost-a-pumps), I would imagine that would be efficient. I would talk to whoever is tuning your car about what they think would be or should be recommended.

return style whenever possible. best way to do it. cool fuel is happy fuel. that being said return-less systems work but you have all that fuel sitting above the engine cooking. it works, works well actually. just not as good as a return style system.

Rick's is a triple with two pumps installed.He is making 700 rwhp very safely and concervatively.Jake,I would go return,it's not necessary but very safe.By the way I have a pile of parts with your name on it...

Here is a quote from Justin at VMP when someone asked if he should go 72# or 80# with the 2.9L whipple
"Let's take a look at what the pro's at FRPP did when they developed the Cobra Jet...
They NEEDED more fuel, they also needed a lot of headroom because the CJ was revved to 7000rpm in testing, as rpm goes up, the time window to inject the fuel goes down.
They did not want to use a BAP or any other type of voltage boosting device, due to the additional complexity/cost/potential for failure. This means they had to keep fuel pressure at 40psi, they could do this with a bigger injector, and still keep stock pump duty cycle in the high 80s/low 90s.
They did not want to use a hand modified injector.
They found out the 60s were maxing out too, probably in part due to the high RPM. I have seen 60s max out on a 600-650rwhp 03/04 cobra running stock 40psi fuel pressure.
FRPP worked with siemens deka to make a larger version of the 60s, they came up with the 80, on a 700rwhp car the duty cycle is around 70%. 90-95% is on the edge and you will loose fuel control and just run rich and then lean, if you ever see an injector max out it goes rich when the injector basically hangs open all the time, and then lean once fuel runs out.
The 72s will work too but I have seen the duty cycle get into the 90s on a 750rwhp car running stock fuel pressure.
You can jack stock fuel pressure 5-10psi and still have some injector control, but you will quickly max out stock pumps, and if you put on a BAP and max fuel pressure to 60-70psi it does not seem to be very stable or controllable.
The inlets I am making for the TVS will clear raised rails with 60s and 80s, you would think anyone making a blower in this day and age would make it to accomodate the parts out there. "

Im not the injector expert, but FRPP makes an 80lb injector at a pretty decent price.
