Few new mods 9/25/11 Updated 10-13-11

Post by shodown on September 25th 2011, 11:16 pm

So finally got the truck fixed a few weeks ago and back up to speed. Rolled 100K on the way to Mustang car show. Got new plugs in and bypass actuator and truck was running great. So I added a few small things I had sitting around and bought a new mod last night.

Small upper pulley, METCO 2.8

AEM Dryflow filter

Saleen style build #

And a Panhard Bar, custom built. First picture is my kit and second picture shows what it looks like installed.

And I plan to order some new Bilstein shocks soon and the L should be up and running and riding awesome again just in time for winter hibernation!

Sweet Chris. These trucks love Bilsteins. Had them on my Gen2.

That's not his truck! :) just a pic of the pan hard bar installed. If you notice it's a Sonic Blue Lightning. I had to read his post a second time too. I was like "Damm! Chris has been doing some work!".

Jarrod, just the panhard bar, some bilsteins and hopefully a tonneau cover one day.

Would like to get an AFCO dual pass HE next summer and eventually paint my cracking/chipping/scraped up bumper.

Sorry Mike, should have specified "will look like on my truck"! The item was shipped today

Dont mind the rusty rear cover, I have been eradicating the rust since this picture. But anyways, got the Panhard on. As expected, great mod for these trucks. It goes around the on/off ramps SOO much better now

Well i have been patiently waiting and trolling the lightning forums and craigslist for 8 months now. Finally found what I was looking for in Des Moines Iowa. I was already in KC so I headed up there about 2pm yesterday and made it back home about 1:40am. Was a long drive but worth the $200!!!!

So now I can lock stuff up and dont have to worry about stuff flying away when we go on cruises and shows! Very happy, its a bit taller than I wanted but couldnt pass up the steal applause
