today just minutes ago we paid the last 5k we owed on my wifes truck. what does that mean. WE OWE NO ONE EVEN A PENNY.

working overseas is great for paying off everything. many people will say and have said that they wish they could make this money. the fact is that very very few are willing to leave their family for this long (1 year) in order to do it.

Did 10 yrs overseas and the cool thing is that I was debt free before I went over.

well considering you've been there for over a decade you've likely forgotten. i may consider doing this for another 6 months or so after i've been home for a while. that would significantly help pay off a house when the only real debt is the house

it is definitely a huge relief. we won't be buying a car that will require a payment for at least 3 years which will be nice.
