How much to create a flange on an exhaust to bolt to the mid-pipe?

Post by BASixxer on October 24th 2011, 12:08 pm

Well took my car to Leonard Saturday for my alignment and tire swap, and when he was pulling it off the rack the exhaust hangs really low on the driver side and it caught the rack and twisted a little. No change visually, just makes me realize how low my exhaust is on that side, and thinking about swapping mufflers and dumping it at the axle.

I found a set of Flows with dumps on Deadhorse, and the guy is local. Wants $40 for both, figure that's a good deal. But they were welded on, so although the pre-muffler piping is there, they would require welding, and I don't want to damage my current set-up by welding these in.

What shop would you recommend for creating the ball-flange on these so that I can just bolt them on and swap back and forth if I ever wanted to?

Hoping it can be done for around $20...

yea the guy I am getting them from said he has a buddy that works in a muffler shop, he's gonna see what it would cost and if reasonable just have it done and factor it in to the price.
