Guess I could have taken a pic of the inside. Basically its 2X2" tubed bracing like a Nascar inside and bolted to the floor using Hilti bolts and special epoxy. I was amazed at how nice its constructed. It weighs almost a ton. The door is very heavy and can be opened 3 different ways in case of issues after a storm. Hold 4-5 people. I guess you could also lock up any valuables when you went on a vacation also.

Very nice! Gives you a sense of security too knowing you should be fine even if the worst happens. We have been thinking of adding one to the home, but not sure where to put it. They are also not cheap!

When we build our next home I will be making a closet a safe room. Will serve 2 functions and you wont even know its there.

Got one just like that inside our house, at least we know its there just in case. Mostly serves as closet 99.9% time.

How much was it if you dont mind me asking? I was about to get an underground shelter put in. One of the ones that is flush on the surface so it is not such an eye sore and it is going to run $2700 installed and hold 6-8 people.
