sold the mustang

Post by Psycho Bob on January 28th 2012, 10:46 pm

so today was both a sad and a joyful day. since we are buying a house i felt i needed to sell the car. we really didn't need the extra room, but felt since i am not there to help move everything we should make it easier on my wife and give her less things to worry about. that and i really would like to get a ranger so that i can drive it more often and have something for the mountains. could we please all just stop and take a moment of silence to remember her.

Hate to see it go, but you will have another in the future if you choose. Priorities trump toys. You made the right choice

yeah i'll be looking for a nice lifted ranger when when it starts getting closer for me to return. would like one w/ around 6 or 8 inches of lift w/ some 35's. i'll most likely have to add rocksliders, gears, and lockers.

Wow!!!! I sold my mustang and bought a ranger too. Mines only 2 wheel drive, automatic with a 3.0L. Get the 4.0l and 4x4. more power and stuff you can do to it. I try to avoid torsion bar set up if you can. Not much on lifts you can do with that.... well for 2 wheel drive. In this picture I was at stock ride height. I raised it 2" since.

sold my 86 coupe and my 81 bronco.

something like this is what i'll be looking for

http://cosprings.craigslist.org/ctd/2818674155.html

if i can't find a lifted one i'll probably look into doing a solid axle swap and a lift at the same time. can easily get more lift with a sas

Looks really nice but don't pay for it at that price. better talk them down. It's a 2000 model. I paid $6000 for mine but it wasn't modded like that one.

haven't looked much at ebay actually. i'm really wondering if it would even be worth getting a lift kit. if i did buy the higher end kit it's going to be over 2k bucks. if i could do a sas and lift for 3k or so it would be well worth it to me.
