Have You Changed Your Cabin Air Filter Lately??

I was under the impression that the '05s did not have a cabin air filter. Ran across this thread today, however, and decided to look at mine - lo and behold it does have one!! It's filthy, too. Now I gotta find a new one.

Let me know where you get em... I been needing to change mine... ;)

I use the smell test....if the car starts to get a funky smell that you have to cover up with cleaning products...its more than likely time for a cabin filter change

I seen the filter for sale on Ebay but some one told me my car don't have one. I going to try and order one from Napa and charge it to my job. (oops they sent the wrong filter) LOL!

David, did you find one of those locally? If so where and how much? By the looks of Taco Bills I need to change mine.

Pep Boys had one left - Purolator Breathe Easy cabin air filter; part no. C25572, $22.99 ($24.95 with tax). I went ahead and bought it since I was there and I needed to replace mine, but that's a lot of money for what looks like about 50 cents worth of wadded up Kleenex tissues. I'm going to place an order direct from MicronAir, the supplier to Ford for these cabin filters, for several of the OEM filters. I'll sell these for $20 each to club members. Let me know if interested.

Filters have been ordered; they probably won't come in until early next week. I'll put some in the car so I''ll have some with me at events, etc.; or if you can't wait PM me early next week and we'll set up a clandestine meet somewhere. (I feel like Bryan Cranston in "Breaking Bad"...)

Fox bodys dont need those sissy air filters. I want to smell raw gas and pollen when i get in my car.

I can attest to that, he does stink. Jerbear odor is hard to get rid of once he has marked his territory

Filters are in, BTW - call or PM me if you want one!

I beleive all vehicles have one because the air has to come in and if your driving down a dirt road something has to stop the dust from coming in.

I saw a post on another website that said the filters were washable and reusable. does anyone know if this is true??

They don't look washable to me - just your standard paper-element filter.
