Fog Lights to Run Independently from my Headlights
Alright need a little help. Want to be able to run my fog lights with out having my headlights turned on. Does anyone have a link on how to do this or can send me step by step insructions on this. Right now I can only run them if the headlight are on and would like to run them independently.
Thanks

I didnt know the S197 cars wouldnt do this. My 02 will run the fog lights with the parking lights on and not the headlights. I figured the newer cars were the same.

Re: Fog Lights to Run Independently from my Headlights
Mikes is the regency conversion package, he has some aftermarket lights in the grill. I think it is just a matter of getting them hooked up properly, I think they may have tapped into the wrong relay or something. Has anyone added fog lights to their current setup or changed from factory to something else that might be able to help us diagnose it to see what we need to check into??

right, which is why i mentioned i have the stock grill. what does the light switch look like? did they alter that too or does it basically act like a stock one? i agree on the relay point. ANY foglights should be able to act independently, especially if the car is a "package".

Re: Fog Lights to Run Independently from my Headlights
Thats the kicker, it still uses the factory switch that you pull to turn on the fog lights, it however only works on the headlights, it will not work with the running lights.

who does this regency package? youd think theyd have put them on seperate relays because obviously theyre tied to the same power source.

Re: Fog Lights to Run Independently from my Headlights
Regency conversion did the work, It is a foose tribute car from regency. They retained the factory switch.
Also, the Fog lights are projector style vs. halogen.

well looks like we got it fixed. the fog light will work with the running lights, however, the car has to be running. once you turn the car off, the lights go off, and running lights stay on.
