They will help with all but a SC, unless the SC is a centrifuge type. You will need to update you tune however.

Nitrous yes.... It will work with a S/C if it's a centrifuge type ( Paxton, Vortec or ProCharger). You'll need to removed them if you get a Kenne Bell, Saleen, Whipple or any other Root style S/C.

No sweat. With the root style S/C you replace the whole intake system, so you don't have any plates whatsoever (stock or after market).

if you go with a centri sc'er and you are wanting plates now i'd skip the plates and go with a c&l intake when it comes out. it also replaces the plates.

If you have a paxton, vortech etc.... you MUST use CMCV deletes. If you don't you risk air becoming forced into a closed plate and blowing your intake off. So in short yes they will help you.

I installed my delete plates yesterday. They were a pain to install without proper tools. I had my tools and it took me forever to get the manifold off. Then I borrowed my dads tools and it took about 15 minutes to get back on and change the plates. Just make sure you have the right tools before you begin! Power increase is worth it though.

Re: motion delete plates

If you can find a Base GT500, with no added options like Sirius, or shaker system. I think you can do it. If not, probably be paying around 42 for brand new.

Find one that stickers for $42,000, invoice is $38,000. If the dealer has had it long enough, I don't know why he wouldnt sell it for invoice. I dont think that you get the rebates on the shelby's so those are out. At Invoice, the dealer is still making around $700 on the deal. If you find one with options, one that stickers for around $46,000, then I think you could sneak it out fro around $42,000. I'm guessing here, if I had the money, I would have already gone out and tried.

If I found any dealer who'd take my car and $19-20K for a new GT500 I'd be hard pressed to walk away. But I don't have the $$ right now, so please quit talking about it. samuri
