3.31 are stock for automatics... 3.55 are stock for manuals.

Thats gay considering mine is a 5 speed and I have 3.31's stock.

KevinGT wrote:Well my mileage suffered but I added gears AND A WHIPPLE. Lol. With a Whipple and 20 inch rims I am not looking for a cross country cruiser and expect mileage to drop. Just for future reference though here were my numbers.

Setting the car on Cruise to Dallas from OKC and reseting the stats on the control panel before heading out I did.

70 mph at 2000 RPM and it climb to 21 MPG and leveled off. 21 mpg was the best I had ever seen on the highway ever.

on the way back with 4.10 gears and a Whipple I did

70mph at 2500 RPM and got 15 mpg.

Question: Did you reset your AVG MPH and AVG MPG at the same time once you were away from the city streets and on the highway? I guessing no Also after the whipple was installed and the guys at the shop tested it out...then you tested it out...then hit the highway...did you Reset BOTH the AVG MPG and AVG MPH on the display again? If you didnt your definitely not going to get an accurate reading.

Reason I ask this is because most of the twin screw guys I have spoken to say their MPG if their foot is out of it is the exact same. They dont get into Boost unless their foot is really into it. Now if your playing with the Whipple a lot I can see how the fuel economy would go to the shitter hehe

I'm not sure I have reset the average miles per hour ever. Interesting, can you explain why that would be considered in the average on MPG? I am slow.

You running an auto or manuel? I figures which is since my mpg is already bad with my heavy foot. How much did the total run you for install?
hey mikey why did you ask if i was running manuel i cant even outrun jose or jesus lol
to answer your question i have a manual trans i think install was 200 (benji) in my opinion if you dont run a lot of highway i would still get 4.10 for auto maybe even one more step for standard of course mine is not a dd

4.10's ftw. they'll be going in mine. the only reason i'm getting them done now rather than waiting is because the cams say they are needed.

Yeah the iPhone loves to correct my spelling. Hehe! That is the problem, my daily driving is done on the highway. So I am thinking the 4.10's might be a little much.

the 4.10's aren't going to change it significantly. my end state will have me in a 6 speed so my highway mileage will actually be better than i get now even with 4.10's.

Kevin your AVG MPH is calcutated WITH your AVG MPH. As your average MPH Increases So does your fuel economy as more miles traveled with less gas. I think my point will be better communicated if you go and try this.

Get out on the highway....Reset your AVG MPH and AVG MPH at the same time.....then go back to your AVG MPG display...you should see it shoot up like crazy. This will give you a better reading on the highway as to what your getting with the 4.10s.

You can do the same thing in the city....If youve done some highway traveling then drive in the city...your avg MPH and MPH are still high...it will read 20 or 21 MPH even though your drag racing around town...because its taking the averages.

Reset both the MPH and MPG in the city and that should take your highway driving out of the calculation and give you an accurate City readying.

Always remember to reset both for accurate readings. I hope this helps

Well I am pretty excited about my results after resetting both MPH and MPG. I went for about 25 miles and hit 20 mpg which is such a huge relief. I had to sell my last baby because it was 13 miles to the gallon and It just wasn't working out.

I would cruise to the city and back and have to fill up. I am so relieved because I can do more upgrades and not worry that I am getting out of the daily driver range. Man what a relief, thanks Grabber.

Glad to hear Kevin! I usually reset mine every once in while to get a better reading.

I still see 24 MPH on the highway and 17-18 in the city with my 4.10 gears and heavy foot hehe

I see 23 MPG hiway @ 85 mph with real gas and 18 with 10% ethanol. Let's not talk about city mpg but I will have to say that I need to know where the next gas station is!

BTW, I have stock 3:23's.
