CAI Installed and Tune Uploaded

Post by Guest on January 20th 2009, 7:52 am

Well last night when I got home from work I had a suprise waiting for me at the door. Finally my CAI. So what did I do, called up Jerry and Jarrod to come on over. We installed my CAI last night and cut the shroud on my shaker hood (well Jerry cut it), yes he did a pretty damn good job. But uploaded the 91 Race tune from Bamachips and what can I say, "I love it." Huge, huge difference. Could hardly sleep lastnight because of the excitment to get out and drive. Lets just say the drive this morning to work was "quick and fun."

But just wanted to again thank Jerry and Jarrod for their help.

Congrats! The CAI kit and tune is the No. 1 mod to do on these cars! It's like getting a new car! I'm sure you spent as much for cookies for the Jerbear as you did for the mod.

Shift Points- You can tell a difference in the shift points, seems to be a lot smoother also.
Power- Oh yeah!
Gas Pedal Sensitivity- Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes. Very touchy, loving it. Threw me back in my seat this morning.

dougs race tune is awesome. it's made to be touchy. glad to hear you went with him. did you get any other tunes. if you got the torque tune you might try it out. i wish i would have. everyone that got it says it's awesome for around town driving cuz it gives much better low end torque.

Had to go pick dads truck up from getting the new transmission in, then run to his house and drop his honda off so he could drive the truck. So I went out but not in mine.

Tried the 91 torque tune tonight and love it too. Think it is better for the daily driving, but will see. Has a higher rev rate as one would expect.

Get those gears and underdrive pulleys and you wont have to worry about Rev rate anymore...just the rubber on your tires....

lol!
